Time goes by fast when you have good company...

A friend of mine likes to say, 'Time goes by so fast when you have good company.' After the first time I heard this, I started to notice how true it was. Long car journeys finished quickly, long flights were over much too soon, and time consuming tasks were finished in no time at all.

But this can also happen in 'solitude'. I only need to take God as my companion. And what better company is there? When I take God as my companion, then I remember what a loving, generous Father I have, I remember my sweet home, and I remember all others as my brothers and sisters. And then I remember how fortunate I am - I have EVERYTHING! And then I feel so intoxicated. Time just flies.
