WHAT IS SPIRITUAL LIFE COACHING?

A coach is someone who shows you what to do or how to master something, such as reaching an important goal, making a key life decision, or charting a new life course.

I will serve as a companion to you on your journey—inspiring you, and helping you move forward with discipline, honesty, and integrity. As a trained coach, I see your greatest potential and work with you to see it, know it, develop it, and actualise it.

As you develop a vision for your future, together we map out reachable goals and attainable objectives. Building on the success of achievable step-by-step accomplishments, I will assist you to build skills, confidence, and experience, and to enhance the quality of your life.

Spiritual Life Coaching utilises an additional component—it focuses on the sacred as well as the physical realm. I start from the premise that each person is whole, complete, and embraced by whatever spiritual force they know as holy in their lives. No one is ever alone on this adventure we call life. Spiritual Life Coaching takes into account universal laws and principles to empower you in your own healing and development.

  • Are you ready to take the next step toward the rest of your life?
  • Are you ready to leave doubt, disappointment, and confusion behind?
  • Are you ready to know yourself as whole, joyful, and optimistic?

I will support and assist you to:

  • Bring forth your truth while identifying and reframing old defeating patterns;
  • Make conscious choices or decisions regarding a specific intention;
  • Move beyond your self-imposed limits to a fuller life for yourself

Discreet coaching sessions are conducted conveniently in person only as sessions as sessions over the phone is, to me, not “serious”. The coach as well as the client needs to be face to face are client-driven and the session are from 45-50 minutes in length.

The Difference Between a Spiritual Coach and a Life Coach

In today's world, it's not uncommon to ask for help. Some of you may be better at asking and receiving help than other. However, if you are looking for a spiritual coach or a life coach, there are some differences between the two that you need to be aware of.

What is a Life Coach?

A life coach assists people in the direction of their professional and personal goals. It is similar to a sports coach or a personal trainer, but a life coach focuses more on a person's self improvement in order to achieve success.

The entire focus of the life coach is on the client. The goal of a life coach is to help their client maximize their abilities to help achieve overall success in their lives. A life coach helps their clients learn to change their current way of doing things and provide guidance on how to deal with issues that may arise in the future. Improvement can be focused on some of the following areas of their client's lives: relationships, careers, dating, sports, and conflict resolution.

A life coach, often known as a "coach for life success" will also include mentoring, psychological counselling, and behaviour modification. While a life coach is not considered a therapist or psychologist, there are no set rules for becoming a life coach. Because of this, it can be difficult for a client to locate a qualified and reliable life coach.

There is some guidance available through organizations, such as the International Coach Federation. This and other institutions have established standards and conduct rules for their members. This type of organization for life coaches is privately owned and there are no regulations or a type of supervisory authority.

While hiring an experienced life coach may be expensive (often up to $100 a session), the investment may very well be worth it. The coaching and lessons provided from a life coach may be just as good coming from friends, family, or peers.

Who is a Spiritual Coach?

A spiritual coach is often called a life coach for spiritual people. Instead of focusing on external factors of your life, a spiritual coach focuses on the inner workings of your mind, body, and soul. A spiritual coach can help you learn that spirituality is often one of the best tools you can use to overcome life's troubles. A spiritual coach will also show you how to break free of a lifetime's worth of limitations and help you find joy and true peace.

A spiritual coach let’s you have the awareness of what your true innate qualities: love, compassion, peace, inner power… This is who you really are; thus how to put these qualities consciously into your day-to-day life from your unconsciousness. Most spiritual coaches will show you how you can begin to live a full and aware life. Someone once said that “an unaware life is not worth living it”. A spiritual coach is a partner in their client's personal, spiritual transformation. They help their clients improve certain areas of their life, such as determining their spiritual path, how to proceed on their spiritual journey, and how to shrug off the negative events that seem to occur daily. A spiritual coach will share with you how to deal with your feelings, emotions, needs, wants and possibly discarding what your worldly desires that get in the way of your true, peaceful life.

While a spiritual coach deals more with emotions and feelings, it's often up to each client to determine if the coach is fulfilling their needs. A life coach is somewhat the same; however, their efforts are somewhat more tangible in terms of obtaining career and relationship goals. Each fulfils a special need in today's society, though.

What is Spiritual Coaching?

The aim of Spiritual Coaching is to enable you to transform your life with clarity and awareness and move towards what you truly want (what some people call their Life Purpose or Total Fulfilment or Self Realisation).

I love the idea but I’m not sure about the Spiritual bit!

OK. Firstly, spirituality is nothing to do with religion or belief in ‘god’. This, we all know, don’t we? It is simply about going deeply ‘inside’, turning inwards (not necessarily meditating) yourself and becoming more aware of who you really are at your deepest level, that is, connecting with Your True Self (or Authentic Self or Soul or Spirit; thereby, Spiritual coaching; we are all spiritual beings regardless of).

The True Self is beyond what you may commonly refer to as ‘yourself’ in day-to-day life. At the deepest level ‘You’ are certainly not your name, your position in society, your body (you just make good use of it to manifest your true, innate qualities: your being) these are just labels which can easily be changed, disintegrate, disappear, lost, robbed, taken away. I repeat, you are not your body either, this is merely a ‘vehicle‘ to allow movement and action. And you are certainly not your mind or the thoughts you have in your mind, although your mind would like you to believe that you are! You are even beyond your feelings, although this is closer (and therefore a better indicator than the mind).
In particular, it is living from the mindspace (which most people do) which causes the most confusion, and therefore the most dissatisfaction, about how we live our lives. In going beyond the mindspace and connecting with feelings you can start to realise the truth about who you truly are.

OK! Sounds simple enough. So how is it different from Life Coaching? Normal Life Coaching is great at setting goals that come from the mind. Usually these goals are around ‘having more’ or ‘doing more’, and experience shows that whilst achieving them can feel good in the short term, they are not ultimately fulfilling. Spiritual Coaching is coaching at a deeper level, reaching a level beyond your mind. This allows you to set your goals from a truer space, so they are congruent with your real desires - and reaching them brings real fulfilment.

So How Does Spiritual Coaching Work?

I work with you to bring greater clarity, awareness and understanding to both you and your current life situation, and guide you from that new space so you can develop your own goals. As a result, your goals will reflect your higher values, will be deeply meaningful, and achieving them will deliver great life change, true happiness and fulfilment!

Just imagine standing on the surface of a large sphere. Life Coaching operates on the surface of that sphere and helps you set goals out in front of you, maybe even over your horizon. Spiritual Coaching focuses initially on heading towards the centre of that sphere, getting closer to who you really are and bringing more awareness to where you are now and where you want to be. This has the potential for much greater change by allowing you to go deeper to set truer and more meaningful goals.

Sounds Great! But what can I achieve in 3 months?

Every client is different (and much depends on how open and honest you are), but
in 3 months (12 sessions) you can literally change the course of your life. As a minimum I would expect to help you to:

-         establish a deeper understanding of yourself by bringing awareness to where you are now and where you want to be.

-         understand at a deep level why you act and feel like you do at present.

-         bring clarity to where you are going and to the true value of all the current activity in your life.

-         have a concept of your highest goal - this gives you a point to aim towards.

-         ‘build’ a path between where you are now and your highest goals

-         identify your long term goals and progress towards them.

-         focus on your day-to-day activities and consciously change them so they are congruent with your higher goals.

-         work on short term goals each week, creating rapid change and moving you forward, whilst remaining focussed on your long term and highest goals.

Of course, exactly how much you want to change is up to you, but you will achieve much more, and faster, than on your own! And the more open you are to my challenges, and the more committed you are, the easier and quicker the change happens.

Your Challenges?

Yes, challenging preconceived ideas that hold you back is an important part of the process and often yields the best results. But don’t worry, I am also supporting you through this and holding a non-judgemental space for you to work in. And don’t forget that we are working together on this!

WOW... Sounds Powerful. I am beginning to see how this can Benefit me.
I almost don’t want to admit it, but I feel this really could change my life!
One last question though. Just to set me completely at ease, tell me how your other clients have benefited?

What Is Spiritual Coaching?

Spiritual Coaching is an approach to coaching that seeks to connect you to a deeper level that is beyond the mind, beyond those aspects of life that are controlled by materialistic and mechanistic goals.

A spiritual life coach would encourage you to set goals around your deepest values in all areas of your life that take account of your mind, body, spirit connection The Spiritual life coach will help you develop faith that your goals will be realised when it is right for you in your life, as life is a journey and the emphasis is on enjoying the journey as you create opportunities to grow and to achieve your goals.

For spiritual coaching you need a spiritual life coach. Firstly because a spiritual life coach is one who is deeply connected to their own spirituality and as such can quickly attune herself or himself to the clients deeper journey, dismantling thoughts and connecting with emotions that are a more reliable doorway to your inner being. And secondly a spiritual coach is able to go with the flow and their intuition when coaching.

Whatever aspect of life you are dealing with, whether you are a parent facing challenges with your teenage children or a business trying to maximize your profits, anyone and any issue can be approached spiritually.

Spiritual life coaching may be particularly beneficial when you have a tendency to worry or feel anxious, are in a period following the break up of a relationship, have lost a loved one, have health issues or you are seeking inner peace and happiness

Spiritual Life Coaching

Many people have heard of Spiritual Coaching but are unsure of how to utilise it. This means that many of the people seeking out Spiritual Coaches are unsure of the purpose. Usually they have just become attracted to some part of the idea whilst searching the Internet.

So what is Spiritual Coaching? Spiritual Coaching is about change at a very deep level and it therefore tends to have a much greater impact on the quality of your life. We are increasingly familiar with the power of our mind/body connection and yet we still carry long held beliefs that can sabotage our efforts to lead the life we truly desire. These beliefs have their roots in our past and Spiritual Coaching enables you to understand what these beliefs are, the impact they have on your life and how to deal with them.

A Spiritual Coach will aid in developing your connection with the invisible and magical nature of what happens inside of you. This will encourage you to envision and create new ways of living and being.

In this, Spiritual Coaching is a journey tailored specifically to an individual's needs. But some of the techniques that you can expect to be applied are:

- Journeying to other shamanic worlds in order to connect with your specific spirit guides, power animals and other mentors.

-Time based techniques can assist in the transformation of previous behavioural patterns.

-Soul journeys encourage focus upon your wants and desires. It also enables you to question yourself as to what is blocking your achievement of these goals.

- The Magic Circle - a medicine wheel, a Mandala for your life to identify what you need to be aware of over the coming year

-Soul retrieval is the process of reconnecting a person with the parts of your soul which you may have lost of given away. This allows a person to feel whole again.

- A numerology profile can pinpoint the types of challenges and opportunities that may be presented to you in the future.

- The introduction of meditation techniques will aid in relieving stress and tension from your being and life.

Spiritual coaching aims to transform one's life by bringing clarity, awareness and focus into one's domain. A Spiritual Coach will act as a guide on the journey to enabling an individual to start living the life that they dream of.
